Candice O'Nea lhas over 20 years of volleyball experience both as a player and as a coach. Her volleyball career started playing for Hazelwood East High School her freshman year. She played for the JV team and played Varsity Tournaments as a Freshman. Then her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year she played on the Varsity team. Throughout her volleyball career at East she received numerous awards such as 1st TeamAll Tournament, 1st Team All Conference, Most Valuable Player & Rams Athlete of The Week. Her Junior year she went to Spain to play for the US where they placed 2nd in the tournament. She was introduced to the Select Club Volleyball world her Junior year where she played for Team Saint Louis. Early on in her Senior year of playing Candice was scouted and then signed early on to Jefferson Community College on a full scholarship. During the club season (which is after the HS volleyball season) she was scouted by many colleges from all over the US ranging from Washington State to Birmingham AL. Not knowing how the scouting and scholarship process worked she had already signed to Jeffco, non-regrettably.  As captain of the team she had the time of her life playing for JoEllen Stringer. Traveling to places like California and Florida made playing even better! They won many games and tournaments. Candices coaching career started while playing for Jeffco. During the off season she coached for Jeffco’s 10’s team where they also won many games and tournaments. That’s where her love for coaching all began. Candice took advantage of all the benefits of playing for a community college and was put at the top of the scouting list to play for a university. She signed to University of Central Arkansas, Scottie Pipen’s alma mater on a full scholarship. There she was also captain, broke many records, and was high up on the list of stats throughout all of the Division II league. One of the many highlights of playing for UCA was traveling to Alaska to play. At UCA Candice received a degree in Business Administration.

After graduating, Candice came back to Saint Louis and was asked to coach for her alma mater Hazelwood East. She coached on and off there for 10 years as a Freshman coach, JV coach, and an assistant coach for Varsity. She also coached for club team North County Aces for 3 years. Coached the freshman team at Parkway North and coached the JV Team at Ritenour HS. During her years of coaching her goal was to help other girls get scholarships like she did. In order to do that she started private trainings and that is how Game Point Fitness was born. The feeling of the girls that she trains making their school teams, playing on higher levels, and some even getting a volleyball scholarship is like no other and Candice wants to do this for more players! With over 20 years of experience your child is in great hands. Let’s Gooooo!!!
